Kuala Lumpur, 16 December 2023 — The heart of Bukit Bintang resonated with the echoes of history today as the Bangladesh Community Press Club, Malaysia, orchestrated a profound seminar in commemoration of Victory Day. As the Chairperson, Razu set the tone for an evening that would resonate with the spirit of unity and patriotism.

Addressing the congregation, Zahirul Islam Hiron, the Joint General Secretary of the organization and representative of The Daily Bangladesh Pratidin, underscored the profound significance of Victory Day. President Mostafa Imran Razu, paying homage to the indomitable spirit of the freedom fighters of 1971, stated, “We had a leader like Bangabandhu who led the Bengali nation to victory in the Liberation War. We are forever indebted to the martyrs and valiant freedom fighters of 1971.” His words resonated with the sentiments of those present, a testament to the enduring connection that Bangladeshis abroad maintain with their homeland.

The diverse array of speakers, including Shahadat Hossain from News24TV, Bappi Kumar Das from SA TV, and Zeenat Tabassum, Shawkat Hossain Johnny, among others, echoed President RazuRa’s sentiments. They emphasized that, irrespective of geographical boundaries, every individual has a role to play in the development and welfare of Bangladesh.

The seminar served not only as a platform for reflection on the historical importance of Victory Day but also as a call to action for overseas Bangladeshis. The speakers urged the community in Malaysia to actively engage in activities that foster love for their motherland and contribute to its progress.

In the embrace of camaraderie and shared history, the event offered a poignant reminder to the Bangladeshi community in Malaysia — that no matter where they reside, their commitment to Bangladesh’s progress remains unwavering.
