Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – February 23, 2024

In a celebration of excellence and accomplishment, the Muslim World Rania Award 2024, organized by the Association of Muslim World Business, Malaysia, in collaboration with the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) of Morocco, a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), took place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office of Malaysia, this prestigious event garnered support from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, as well as the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia.

Under the leadership of YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Binti Ahmad, the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia, and with a keynote address delivered by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, the ceremony was graced by distinguished guests including YABhg. Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail and YB Dato Seri Hajah Nancy Shukri, the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia.

Representatives from 18 countries gathered to celebrate the achievements of outstanding individuals in a truly international affair. With approximately 1,200 guests in attendance, the event was a vibrant and diverse celebration of excellence within the Muslim world.

Among the esteemed recipients of The Muslim World Rania Award 2024 were individuals hailing from UAE, Bahrain, Nigeria, Singapore, Iran, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Malaysia. The recipients included Dr. Arshi Ayub Zaveri, Madam Amy Chew, Madam Elain Lockman, H.E. Amb Dr. Bahia Al-Jishi, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dr. Mazlan Othman, Datin Dr. Hajah Hartini Osman, Dr. Laylah Ali Othman, Dr. Fadilah Majid, Madam Zenda Ng, YB Dato Sri Azalina Othman, Dr. Maryam Tajabadi, Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar, Madam Michelle Hah, and H.E. Madam Aissata Tall Sall.

The Muslim World Rania Award 2024 not only celebrates individual accomplishments but also underscores the importance of collaboration and understanding among nations. It serves as a platform to highlight the strength and capabilities of Muslim women in driving economic progress. Furthermore, the award ceremony is an integral part of The Muslim World Women’s Summit, scheduled for June, emphasizing the pivotal role of women as agents of change and progress.
